The default port for sending SMTP email is port 25. Some Internet Service Providers (ISP) have recently starting blocking port 25 for thier customers to cut down on the amount of spam received. This will keep you from being able to send emails from you accounts hosted by Oldcity.com.

We have opened port 587 to allow you to be able to send. Follow the instructions below to change the port:

  • Open up Microsoft Outlook and click on “Tools”.
  • Click on “Account Settings…”
  • Highlight the Email Account and Click the Change Button.

Click the More Settings Button

Click on the Advanced Tab and change the Outgoing Server (SMTP) port from 25 to 587.

Click OK, then click Next > then Click “Finish” and “Close”.
